Great Dane Results
Judge : Mr J Lockey
To Judge this wonderful breed at the world biggest and most prestigious show is the high point of my 40 year involvement in the breed. Thankyou to all the exhibitors who entered from far and wide, and thanks also to my efficient stewards who kept the ring running smoothly. I was particularly pleased with the Junior and Yearling classes in both dogs and bitches, and was given the luxury of nitpicking to sort 1 and 2 in both classes.

1ST 14962 - Ch Ravendane Deal Me in with Elbarevol (Mrs S E Burton) Eight year old, Mantle of good size and proportions. Correct coat pattern. Masculine head, just starting to grey on the flews which adds to his character. Correct almond shaped, dark eye. Nice expression and used his ears when asked. Nice length of neck and flowed into correct shoulders. Moved well, with elbows kept nicely close and covering the ground. Holding a correct topline on the move He has a good angles fore and aft and good bend of stifle.
2ND 14950 - Int/multi Ch Crumble von Alt Sternberg (Mrs D Bannister) another 8 year old, solid blue. Shown is good condition. Dark eye of correct shape. Correct bite. He moved around the ring covering the ground well. Holding a good topline and croup set. Good angulation at rear which he uses well on the move to give a desirable driving action.

1ST 15058 - Adoreadane Yellowstone (ai) (Mrs S Tempest) Eight months Mantle with correct coat pattern. Correct dark eyes and good dentition. Really appealing quizzical expression. Good straight bone and tight feet. Elbows close in and decent fill in fore chest for his age. Neck drops into good shoulders and gives a nice flow to the front. Good well held topline and croup where it should be. Moved well
2ND 14953 - Primus Gambler Atelib (Mrs E P & Mr M V Bartley) 9 months today. Fawn with black mask. Dark eye and nice expression, and correct bite and dentition. He did give his handler a hard time today and did not really show himself to his best advantage. Erratic on the move, would prefer a better croup set.

1ST 14965 - Maxidan's Kiss My Jazz Goodbye JW (Mrs Kc & Miss Wm Clausen & Mertz) 15 months brindle, very attractive and appealing rich dark background colour with well distributed distinct brindling. Masculine head with correct planes and decent foreface. Good dark eye of correct shape. Good dentition. Good square outline with desired length of leg. Correct topline and croupset well head on the move. Nice width on second thigh and well angulated at the stifle. Covered the ground well with sound steady action on the move. I did give this handsome chap more than a second look in the final challenge, and I`m sure he has a bright future.
2ND 15019 - Dinahtron The Omen (Mrs M & Mrs S Mcguinness & Nelson-Mcguinness) I have admired this 15 months fawn with black mask from the ringside, and I do think he is better every time I see him. Dark well shaped eye giving him an appealing expression. Head is developing well with good parallel plains. Nice layback at the shoulder and chest is filling out well. Holds a correct topline and covers the ground well driving from a well angulated rear.

1ST 15034 - Tikitoo’s Kosmos Is Mine Int/lv/dk Jch (Mrs R Pedersen) Black dog of good size. Lovely head piece with good plains and length of foreface. I was really impressed with the outline he has good correct leg length in proportion with the length of body. Filling well in the fore chest. Bone is straight and tight feet. For me he moves like a dream with effortless stride, excellent reach and drive for his age. Good topline and croup. Lovely angles front and rear. This young dog has what I was looking for today, balance, flow and breed type. I was pleased to award him the dog CC and Best opposite Sex. I am sure he will continue to mature into the most impressive dog.
2ND 15020 - Anadain Dead Ringer for Love (Mrs A Mclellan) fawn with black mask. Good masculine head. Correct dark eye and good dentition. Appealing expression and uses his ears when asked. He was a bit playful today, but did settle, to give a good account of himself. Impressive length of neck that flows into well laid shoulders. Correct topline and croup set. Covers the ground well on the move.

1ST 15030 - Roucandane Stolen Kisses (Mrs G Munro) Fawn with dark mask. A more compact young dog , but is balanced and flows well. I would prefer a slightly darker eye. Straight bone and good tight feet. Nicely filled fore chest. Decent shoulders. Good topline well held on the move and he covers the ground with ease with good foot fall coming and going. Nicely handled.
2ND 15060 - Novavida Hellboy by Ravendane (Miss J R Walton) Impressive Harlequin boy. Good clean background and good clean front. Well marked with torn patches. Pleasing head with dark eye and correct dentition. A good flowing outline, correct well held topline and moved with drive.

1ST 15056 - Adoreadane Charlton (ai) (Ms M Palmer) Harlequin. Good clean background, clean front and torn patches. Good dentition Well balanced dog with good straight bone. Well filled front and in good condition. Flowing movement covering the ground well with good reach and drive, using a nicely angulated rear end to advantage. Well handled and shown in excellent condition.
2ND 14944 - Murrayvhayle My Zandor (Mrs J & Mr W Whittaker & Allcroft) Brindle with dark mask. Nice head piece correct plains and drop of lip. Appealing and quizzical expression, dark correct eyes. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Moved out well to cover the ground with ease, holding a good topline.

1ST 14963 - Ch Selmalda Jealous Guy (ai) (Ms L & Mr A Chappell). Impressive Brindle dog of good size, quality and with good breed type. Shown in excellent condition. Good firm body. Pleasing outline. Nice dark eye and expression. Well worked head with correct plains. Good topline and croup set, nice bend of stifle. Moved well in the class and a serious contender in the challenge, pleased to award him RCC.
2ND 15018 - Dinahtron Mothers Pride (Mrs M & Mrs S Mcguinness & Nelson-Mcguinness) Fawn with black mask. Well off for bone which is straight, well filled front and nice length of neck. Dark eye and correct dentition. Well bodied and shown in excellent condition. Flows well and moves with drive from a nicely angulated rear.

1ST 15062 - Stormdance Lord of The Rings (IKC) (Mrs L Warrener) Nicley marked Harlequin, with good clean background and even torn patches. Handled well. Straight bone. Good topline and croup set well held when moving out, covering the ground well. Good bend of stifle.

1ST 15004 - Multi Ch Qb I Am The Sweetest Dream 't Hof Van Mellink (Ms G. Herman) Harlequin with good clean background, clean front and desired torn patches. Overall pleasing make and shape, more compact but well balanced. Nice tuck up which I feel enhances the overall outline well. Moderate neck, and flowed into a decent laid back shoulder. Moved with ease and flowed around with correct footfall, driving well from well angulated rear. Good bend of stifle. Held outline on the move.
2ND 14958 - Calchas Yodella over Stagbatch (Mrs A Bliss) Heavier type Harlequin, maybe carrying a tadge too much weight, but she did move well, covering the ground. Balanced with good straight bone. Good level topline and well placed croup.

1ST 14955 - Vertumnus Raise Your Glass to Bourntwyn (R C & M Bithell). My BPIB today. Very pretty fawn, black mask young lady. Good dentition. Good dark nicely shaped eye, melting expression and used her ears when asked. Foreface of good length. A lovely front which is filling out well. Elbows held close and kept close on the move. A bit erratic initially but did settle to give a good show of herself going round. Good shoulders and nice length to neck which flows into well laid shoulders. She is a minor puppy and as such can be forgiven for standing a bit bum high today. Very promising
2ND 15031 - Novavida Shieldmaiden (Ms L C Page) Similar type to 1. Another pretty girl with appealing expression, nice length of foreface and square lip drop. Well balanced and good front angles, nice lay of shoulder . Well placed croup, good straight bone and covered the ground well on the move.

1ST 15022 - Jutlander’s Eat Your Heart Out at Taradanes (Mr N & Mrs J White) Fawn of good quality shape and make. Desired dark eye of correct almond shape, correct dentition. Straight bone, standing on good tight feet. Well filled front, with good shoulder placement. Standing slightly bum high. Good bend of stifle and used a strong back end to advantage on the move covering the ground well.
2ND 15037 - Goldania's Princess Eimear (Ms N Pendleton-Watkins) Fawn with black mask. Pleasing outline with a nice tuck up. Nice lay of shoulder but slightly wide across the front, moderate neck. Moved well in profile driving well and muscling up in the rear end.

Litter sisters heading up this class, I liked them both a lot and I`m sure they will change places
1ST 15061 - Ravendane Mustang Sally (Miss J R Walton) Fawn bitch of good size, with good breed type and quality. Presents a very appealing outline, but would prefer tighter movement up front, she does move a bit wide up front. Can`t fault the outline on the stack. Short coupled and very well balanced, which is enhanced with a nice tuck up. Good leg length. Straight bone, tight feet, good length of neck. Good reach and drive in profile movement.
2ND 14992 - Ravendane Like A Prayer (Ms C Foster) Fawan, black mask, more compact than winner, but does have a lovely outline and a lot of the comments for the sister apply. Nice head with good narrow skull and correct parallel plains. Good dark eye and appealing expression. Straight bone and tight feet. Covered the ground well on the move.

I find myself making the same comment as previous class. Litter sisters of excellent quality.
1ST 14989 - Renescent Too Hot to Handle for Chateaudain Lux Jch JW (Miss Ferguson) A young blue bitch who is starting to come into her own. I was really taken with the flow and balance of this lovely honest bitch. Appealing clean outline enhanced with a good tuck up. Elegant and feminine. Good head free from exaggeration. Good length of neck flowing into well set shoulders. Keeps elbow close both in stack and moving. Lovely well held topline and correct croup placement. Flowed around the ring showing me reach and drive and near perfect foot fall coming and going. Well handled and pleased to award her the Res CC. I am sure she will continue to mature and give her owner many happy memories. Well done.
2ND 15047 - Renescent Fugget About It (Mr D Simpson) I suspect this equally quality bitch, from this committed breeder will trouble her sister at times in the ring. Blue bitch of good size with a lot of the qualities of 1st. She is slightly longer in body than 1 but keeps a good level topline with a correct croup. Moved with enthusiasm and has a good length of stride from a well angulated rear and correct bend of stifle. Typical head with correct width of skull , good plains and good length of foreface.

1ST 15055 - Primus Belle Starr JW (ai) (Mrs T M & Mr R Teese) A good sized fawn with black mask. Desired dark eye of correct shape and correct dentition. I have seen this quality bitch put on a better performance than today, she wasn`t happy. I did get to go over her and she moved well enough to see she has drive and reach. Nice length of neck flowing into a good shoulder placement, well held topline and presents a pleasing outline.
2ND 15002 - Calchas Addition (ai) (Miss P Henshall) Harlequin of good size. Desired jacket with torn patches and clean front. Well off for bone which is straight. Nice eye of correct shape and correct dentition. Moves well covering the ground with an easy flowing stride, holding a good strong topline.

1ST 15064 - Primus Encore avec Malpa (Mr S & Mrs V & Mr P & Mrs M Worsley) Fawn black masked bitch of good size. Typical head, endearing quizzical expression using her ears well when asked, dark eye of good shape. Correct dentition. Presents a pleasing outline on the with good tuck up, level topline and correct croup set. Straight bone and standing on a good cat like foot. Strong rear with good bend at stifle and good width of thigh. A quality strong bitch with no hint of coarseness.
2ND 15052 - Goldanias Diva Princess (Mr M L Stanton) Quality black masked fawn. Good size with a firm body and good tight jacket. Sound movement with decent stride and drive. Holds a correct topline and driving well from a strong well angulated rear.

1ST 14982 - Primus Diamonds Are Forever Samdice (Mr J C, Mrs H & Miss C Dyson) I notice I had 3 bitches in the line up from this kennel. Congratulations must go to this consistent breeder who has given us quality, typical danes to admire today. This young brindle bitch put in a foot perfect performance today to be my BOB. Impressive on the move with effortless movement holding a lovely outline as she went round the ring. Equally impressive coming and going. Sympathetically and skillfully handled to get the best. Attracting background colour and correct brindling. Lovely head piece with correct plains, correct dark eye and good square drop of lip completed the picture. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Surely she must gain her title and I wish her well for the future.
2ND 15057 - Adoreadane Licence to Kill (ai) (Mrs S Tempest) Well marked harlequin with good clean jacket and well torn patches. A well balanced bitch of good size. Nice angles front and rear. A good head sitting on a neck of decent length that flows into well laid shoulders. Moved out well.

1ST 15008 - Zwiebelchen in Flagranti with Dainmajik (Imp Deu) (Lady J Ingram) Brindle bitch of good size. Crested neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Nice head with good plains and length of foreface, correct square drop of lip. Dark eye enhancing a kind expression. Correct dentition
2ND 15040 - Tamzdane Appley Ever After JW (Miss T & Mrs L Pocock) Harlequin of good size, possessing quality and breed type. More lightly marked jacket on a good clean back ground. Nice shape and make. Moves off well from a well muscles and angulated rear.
