Midland & West of England Great Dane Club
Colour Format Open Show
Saturday 8th February 2025
I would like to thank the M&WEGDC committee for inviting me to judge BIS at their Colour Format Open Show. This was a late change of judge to the schedule due to Andrew Brace not being well enough to fulfil his appointment. On behalf of everyone in the dog world I wish Andrew a speedy recovery.
Whilst a little cold in the hall today, the presentation of this show is second to none, which we have come to expect from this Committee. I would also like to thank my very able and professional stewards Maureen & John Reynolds.
It was a huge privilege, and I was spoilt for choice with the quality of the finalists that Tracy Rowe (Colours) and Tom Rigby (Fawns & Brindles) had sent forward for me to assess for Top Honours.
BIS Pocock's Ch. Swiss & Lux Ch Tamzdane Empower Mint JW. Eye catching mantle boy full of quality and breed type. Covered the ground effortlessly with plenty of showmanship. An easy BIS well deserved.
RBIS Cranfield's Ch Zefathers Ralph Lauren JW ShCEx OSW. Very smart upstanding fawn boy covered the ground effortlessly, well deserved RBIS.
BOS Harrison's Rioco My One and Only to Jasnettdanes JW. Well balanced fawn girl moved out well holding her top line on the move.
BP Tempest's Adoreadane Yellowstone. Very promising mantle boy. So balanced throughout and kept his top line on the move. A champion in the making I feel sure.
Best Veteran Middleton's CH Must De Cartier at Dornoir JW. Feminine black girl. I am quite sure she enjoyed her day. Lovely to see her move out covering the ground well. Her quality fills the eye.
Janet Brooker.
