The Great Dane Club Championship Show 9th Aug 26
I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge males at this prestigious and very well organised show. I had 2 lovely stewards who worked the ring very well.
I was glad to see the depth of quality has improved in the males since I last judged especially in the youngsters and would have been happy to have awarded 4 CCs in my shortlist on the day. A big thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me, in some classes and in the dog challenge I was really splitting hairs which was a pleasure to be in that situation.
Special Veteran Dog 3 (1a)
1st Pococks Bel / Lux Ch Nordic Giants Leopold at Tamzdane (imp) 6 ½ yrs Harli very balanced outline, with a good spring of rib, well angled front and rear , well marked and moved very well with real purpose BVIS
2nd Clausen and Mertzs Int/Dk/No/Se/KLB/Bel Ch Maxidans Feckin Perfect Almost 7 Years , Lovely Head , nice outline, good angulation front and rear, Moved well, just preferred the spring of rib on 1st

A nice puppy class
1st Lawton and Farquharson Primus Walter Scott at Thornbrae 7mths Fawn Loved his type , very balanced overall, Loved his head into a good length of neck, correct front and rear angulation, very well developed body with good bone , moved really well and had the truest front movement I have seen for a long time. 2nd Clausen and Mertzs Maxidqans Mr Sandman Bring Me A Dream 7mths Paler fawn than 1st, nice head with good length of foreface, slightly longer cast than 1st but still balanced , moved well

1st Cubitts Zefathers Wreck It Ralph for Zebeldane 11 months Brindle , well grown puppy , lovely overall balance , clean head into a long neck , well angled front and rear moved well , shortlisted for CC
2nd Hayters Stevarah Manhattan Magic 11mths Mantle, well marked, clean head and neck , good angles front and rear ,balanced throughout, moved really well in profile very close between 1st and 2nd

1st Bakers Kinnegans Bodyguard for Preveli well muscled Fawn lovely balanced outline , nice head ,good angulation and very light on his feet when moving

1st Warncke and Mertz Mxidans Let Me Entertain You very tall and rangy 21 mths Brindle dog , lovely clean head and neck, well angulated rear , moved ok
2nd Nunn and Patchs Roshanun Conquistador 21mths Harli , balanced overall well muscled and moved well but preferred head of 1st
3rd Wright and Cranfields Zefathers Two Faces with Iriesdane , I really liked this dog but he decided he didn’t want to be a show dog that day

1st Jacques and Kirbys Jacqkir Take Me Home 20 mths Fawn male, love his type and overall balance, lovely head into long neck, good angles front and rear, in profile movement this dog was the best on the day , he is light on his feet and full of dash and dare shortlisted for CC
2nd Tasker and Molloy Newarthdane Mars 2yrs 8mths nice outline, well anguled front and rear, moved well, lovely neck into shoulders

Pocock and Pavlous Bubba Von Pao Eberjager with Tamzdane (imp) Well marked Mantle, really good muscle tone, nice angles front and rear moved well in profile
Limit 4 (1a)
1st Donnellys Primus Spokesman Fawn , Lovely type , clean head into long neck , good angles front and rear , drops his topline on the stack but holds it on the move, moves well
2nd Davies Kinnegans Tulsa King fawn , slightly shorter over all than 1st but preferred head and type of winner, moved well

1st McGuinness and Nelson McGuinness Dinahtron The Omen Fawn , loved his type , beautiful head and neck, great spring of rib and forechest, lovely front . moved ok but tends to lean into himself
2nd Munro Roucandane Stolen Kisses Fawn overall not as masculine as 1st but balanced , preferred expression of the winner, moved ok
S/O Harli 4 (1a)
1st Collins and Woods Tamzdanes Whiskey Biz 5yrs lovely outline, nice head with a good length of foreface, very light on his feet and moved well, well angled front and rear covers the ground easily
2nd Shadbolt Adoredane Blazing Saddles clean head , nice neck into shoulders, light on his feet , well marked Harli

1st Simpsons Ch Renescent Bewitched JW 23 mths very clean outline where everything just flows, good length of foreface with a clean backskull into a good length of neck and well filled front , good angles front and rear , moves really well and very light on his feet covers the ground with ease CC and RBIS
2nd McDonald’s Zeus Nero Von Adamantium of Ranaldane (imp) IR JCH CEN JW CW25 5yrs balanced overall, very well exercised which showed in his condition, moved well, preferred head of 1st

1st Pendelton Watkins Goldanias King Of Drago Beautiful outline, I really liked him , not overdone in anyway, very balanced overall, clean head , needs more enthusiasm on the move

1st Ch /INT/LUX/SWISS/BEL/DK Ch Tamzdane Empowemint JW really nice great dane , lovely markings, nice clean head and neck, good angle front and rear and what an easy light movement this dog has I really liked him
2nd Tempest Adoreadane Yellowstone (ai) JWW LT/FIN JCH much heavier type than 1st but still in proportion ,well marked , good angles front and rear , preferred head of 1st
