The Midland & West Of England Great Dane Club 1/12/2024
Bitches
Thank you to the midland and west of England Great Dane club for inviting me to judge on the 1st of December at their Christmas championship show. I was given the privilege of judging bitches with a very nice entry. The hall was laid out with two very nice big rings with Christmas decorations and many stalls around with cakes and Prosecco given to all exhibitors which created a very nice atmosphere. Well done to the committee.
I found all the exhibits to have a nice temperament and all in good condition even though some were on the fat side, but better that than skinny. I found no health issues some untidy mouths and teeth could be kept a bit cleaner, in some cases nails needed attention. I found in some classes so many a different types and sizes. And some very masculine females, harlequins was nice to see so many with the correct colour and markings. Even the mantles with the correct markings as a past breeder of harlequins it’s not easy task to breed the correct required markings. Some very nice blues around congratulations blue breeders.

1st Burton-
8 month old fawn baby, lovely dark eye. Very pleasing head shape and expression good ear set, excellent dentition. Nice reach of neck and good shoulder placement, string topline which she kept on the move. Pleasing croup and nice angulation moved very well. Young but will watch her progress with interest.

Blue youngster with a very correct head piece lovely outline standing. She didn’t disappoint, and a very good mover.

1st Walton Ravendane Mustang Sally
9 months old fawn puppy with a very nice sculptured head,dark eye good dentition. Nice lay of shoulder when settled has a very nice profile standing with a good croup. Moved steady with drive.

1st Ferguson Renescent Too Hot To Handle for Chateaudaun Lux Jun Ch
Blue has a very nice outline good head tight dark eyes good mouth and reach of neck. Good upper arm level topline and good croup. Moved with drive.
2nd Simpson Renecent Fugget About It
Another nice blue from the same kennel producing good quality blues. Pleasing head good eye colouration would prefer more depth in chest could be stronger in body. Moved with drive.

Harlequin of 20 months old nicely marked good well filled chest. Pleasing good eye set would have preferred good dark eye but in harlequins it’s hard to get everything correct. Good shoulder, firm topline good hind angulation. Floated around the ring with drive.
2nd Robinson Mislock Winky The House Elf
Presented in nice condition with a nice outline. Good head plains with nice dark eyes, well filled in chest good shoulders good topline nice croup moved with drive, very close up too my winner.
3rd Simpson Renescent Fugget About It

1st Hayter Taysca Pequena Luna Blu with Stevarah
Stood alone 2 1/2 year old blue bitch. Good outline,good front pleasing head nice eyes ample angulation topline could be stronger moved well.

1st Stanton Goldania’s Diva Princess
Fawn lovely shape and outline good head with good dentition. Nice front she had tight feet with well kept nails. Good topline with nice rear angulation. Moved well front and back.
2nd Owen Tyak Golden Jubilee
Fawn with nice outline and body shape. She had a nice feminine head good reach of neck with a very strong topline. No major faults moved well

1st Dyson Primus Diamonds Are Forever Samdice
Brindle very elegant profile. Dark eye pleasing head her front was good with well filled chest would prefer and stronger topline. Nice croup with good rear angulation, did pin on movement coming towards but could not deny her first place.
2nd Craig & Di Paolantonio Culsendanes Janet Weiss
Fawn elegant head long for face. Good front pleasing topline good croup set well angulated. Moved well very close to my winner.
3rd Baker Taradanes Shinning Star over Preveli

7 1/2 year old black with good long for face strong topline nice tight feet overall quality well deserved to be a champion moved soo well coming and going.

Well marked harlequin pleasing outline good front and shoulder nice angulation dark eyes and moved very sound.

Well marked nice picture standing would like to see a stronger topline which showed in her movement.
3rd Ingram Gracie Vom Dwergter Sand at Dainmjik (imp Deu)

Beautiful bitch with a strong but still feminine head. Very balanced throughout nice ear set good topline with strong croup. When stacked she looked a picture, moved very well coming and going, a well deserved champion. Pleased to award her RCC today. Stood out in this class.

She was in excellent condition would like more lip, and she was a little long in the loin. Good topline good croup nice shoulders and good angles moved so well was also second in open bitch so knocked herself out of the challenge.

Nice picture standing. In good condition would like a longer for face. Nice black eyes. Moved ok.

Nice outline good head nice dark eye topline was strong and kept on the move also good croup. Well muscled and moved well.
2nd Dyson Primus Bond Girl with Samdice
Nice type enough substance good head and dark eye. She was not at ease today which showed in her movement front and back.

All the colours in the correct place. Pleasing head nice outline good dentition nice steady mover.

18 month old feminine head would like to see a better front to complete the picture. Good topline correct croup steady mover.

Beautiful fawn bitch with a strong yet feminine head, long elegant neck leaning to well laid shoulders. Very nice outline standing with a lot to like about her. On the moved she just kicks it up a gear coming and going very tidy she keeps her elegant look on the move. I was very happy to award her the CC and eventually BIS. Hope she continues to collect CCs.
