Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge their 2025 open show. I had a lovely day and a very nice entry too.
Minor Puppy Dog.1st Mrs Rebecca Wright & Mrs Jill Cranfield Zefather’s Two Faces With Irieusdane Quality young 8.5 month puppy dog with heaps of promise. Confident and moved well for one so young. Everything in the right place and lovely outline. Lovely head, shoulders and topline. A nice level of muscle with clean eyes and tight feet. Very well handled.
Puppy Dog.1st Lawton & Farquharson, Mr Ronnie & Iain’s Garsak Sir Winslow at Thornbrae Another great puppy. 11 months. Beautiful outline, Strong head for a puppy with level plains and drop of lip and a nice black mask. Nicely muscled with great angulation fore and rear which allowed him to move out with drive. Great eyes and reach of neck leading to strong shoulders. Tight feet and correct dentition. Very well handled. Was very happy to award Reserve Best Dog and Best Puppy in Show 2nd Simpson, Mr D R’s Renescent Bewitched A puppy presented in beautiful condition. Not as mature as my first place but still a quality pup who I am sure has lots of promise as he matures. Front not as strong as 1, Pleasing head, with correct ears, dentition and a nice drop of lip. Good angulation fore and rear, correct tail. Again very well handled.
Junior Dog.1st Spackman, Mrs Caroline’s Novavida Norseman Warrior (A.I.) 13 months old and maturing nicely, Strong head with correct ears and lovely long dark mask. Strong front with nice deep chest. Well muscled throughout. Nice croup leading to correct tailset. Dentition correct. 2nd Number 34 – Pocock, Mrs L, Miss T & Pavlou’s Bubba Von Pao Eberjager with Tamzdane (Imp fca) A nicely marked mantle with a nice outline when stacked. Moved well.

Post Graduate Dog 1st McLellan, Mrs A’s Anadain Dead Ringer For Love JW I could not take my eyes off this young male. Beautiful throughout with balance and moved with real elegance, covering the ground with ease but a real feel of strength. Classic head with alert, perfectly shaped eyes, Correct ears and a nice drop of lip creating a stunning mature outline with correct dentition. Good chest and strong bone leading to tight feet. Nice depth and well shaped tuck up. Topline strong leading to nice croup and tail set. Well angulated fore & rear. Well muscled throughout. Presented and handled expertly and moved around the ring with real drive. I was happy to award best Dog, Best Opposite sex and Reserve best in show.
Limit Dog 1st Munro, Mrs G’s Roucandane Stolen Kisses Another quality male presented in great condition. Nice outline when stacked with everything in the right place. Strong head with correct ears and dentition. Strong neck leading to withers and correct topline. Well muscled throughout and moved really well. Good angulation fore and rear. Very alert and pleasing, happy nature who was enjoying his day. Very well handled. 2nd McLellan, Mrs A’s Anadain Life is a Lemon Head not as strong and masculine as 1, but still a quality male. Dentition, Feet, Croup, tailset all correct. Front and rear angulation good and well muscled throughout. Moved well.

Nice feminine head with good dentition. Pleasing front with nice tight feet. Adequately muscled for age. Moved well holding topline. Well Handled. Happy to award Best Puppy Bitch. 2nd Pocock, Mrs L ^ Miss T’s Lambrini A Girl Like Me At Tamzdane A nicely marked Mantle with a super outline. Not as mature in appearance as 1. Nice head with good foreface and drop of lip. Good dentition. Nice chest and tight feet. Topline ok Moved well.

Junior Bitch 1st Bithell, Mr & Mrs, Chris & Mandy’s Vertumnus Raise your Glass to Bourntwyn A great quality young bitch. Very pleasing and alert expression, Super head with level plains and good, in proportion drop of lip. Good Dentition. Nice chest and good angulation fore and rear. Long neck leading to good strong shoulders and topline with a good croup and tailset. Tight feet, Nice tuck up and well muscled for a junior. Expertly handled and very well presented. 2nd Pendleton – Watkins, Ms Nia’s Goldania’s Princess Etain Another super quality young bitch with all the quality that will see her do well in her future I am sure. 1 just moved better on the day. Good head of the correct proportions with good dentition. Good dentition. Well filled chest and good angulation fore and rear. Topline and croup good with nice tight feel and well muscled throughout. Well handled.
Novice Bitch 1st Foster, Miss Charlotte’s Ravendane Like A Prayer Another quality young bitch with a bright future I am sure. Presented perfectly. Very nice classic feminine Great Dane head. Inquisitive and alert. Dark eyes , correct ears and good dentition with nice, proportioned drop of lip. Good chest reaching the elbow. Long neck on to correct withers and a nice topline which held well on the move. Good tuck up leading to good rear angulation. The handler did a great job of moving and encouraging to bring the best out of her exhibit. 2nd Laycock, Mrs Theresa & Laycock, Mr Darren’s Juno Von Der Rhon (IMP Deu) Lovely young bitch who at only 7 months is still maturing. Presented in beautiful condition. Lovely head of correct proportions for age, Nice dark mask and dark eye. Ears correct and drop of lip proportionate with good dentition. Good withers and topline with nice tight feet. Good angulation fore and rear and moved well. I am looking forward to watching her show career.
Post Graduate Bitch 1st Pendleton – Watkins, Ms Nia’s Goldania’s Princess Etain See 2nd in Junior Bitch 2nd Donnelly, Mr & Mrs James & Lynne’s Primus Go With The Flo 3 years old with everything in the right place. Good head, Dark eye, Good chest and tight feet. Moved well.
Limit Bitch 1st Henshall, Miss Paula’s Calchas Addition (Ai) Nice bitch with pleasing head and good front. Topline held well on the move and good angulation fore and rear allowed seamless movement with drive. 2nd Sikora, Ms B’s Kaallana Jawska Seraphina Cjw25 Lovely classic head with nice drop of lip. Alert expression. Moved ok but not a fluent as 1 on the day.

Special Open Harlequin Bitch 1st Tempest, Mrs S’s Adoreadane License to Kill (Ai) Nicely marked with alert expression. Good bone and good angulation fore and rear meant she covered the ring with ease. Good dentition, nice tight feet and good topline and croup. Presented beautifully and very well handled. Well placed ears and good drop of lip giving a nice outline with good dentition. Long neck leading to correct shoulders and withers. Strong and well muscled and moved well around the ring. Very well handled, 2nd Concannon, Mrs Tess’s Novavida When Birds Sing. Nice outline with a stronger head than 1. Good dentition. Good angulation fore and rear and moved well around the ring holding topline.

Special Open Fawn Bitch 1st Worsley, Mr Simon & Worsley Mrs Victoria & Worsley, Mrs Marilyn & Worsley, Mr Paul’s Primus Encore Avec Malpa 3 year old bitch with a classic Great Dane Outline when stacked. Beautifully feminine head with correct ears and dentition with a drop of lip in proportion. Alert expression. Good front profile with good bone. Angulation and topline both good with easy movement around the ring. Quality and well handled.

Open Bitch 1st Harrison, Mrs Annette’s Rioco My One And Only To Jasnettdanes Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Everything in the right place and when stacked in front of you, forms the classic Great Dane Shape. Beautiful head with dark eyes, correct ears and drop of lip. Good dentition. From the front displays good bone and a well filled chest, but not overdone. Long neck, good topline and correct croup with good tailset. Good tuck up and great angulation fore and rear. Moved around the ring effortlessly. Presented in excellent condition and well muscled. Handled to perfection and I was pleased to award her best bitch and Best in Show. 2nd Dyson, Mr & Mrs & Miss Johns’ Primus Diamonds Are Forever Samdice Another quality bitch. Beautifully feminine with alert expression. Correct head with dark eye and proportionate drop of lip with good dentition. Nice front and good bone. Tight feet, good topline and croup. Good angulation fore and rear and moved well. Well handled.
