Many thanks to the officers and committee for making this such a wonderful show and giving me the honour of judging Best in Show at this Colour Format Open Show. The hospitality was super, as was the company. The fabulous layout of such a large ring, worked really well for the breed. Some super specimens of the breed and it was nice to see the exhibitors take the decisions in such a sporting manner throughout the day.

 

Best In Show:

37 MacKenzie’s Carsan Vincent. 22 month old blue male of super type. Just loved his head-piece with neat ears, excellent width of muzzle, correct in the mouth and such a great expression. Super neck and shoulders, lovely parallel front, just the right amount of bone and good feet. Firm in the body with nice depth of chest and correct in top-line, tail-set and carriage. Strong and well-muscled in the rear and excellent, effortless movement, producing a super side-gait in this large ring. Turned out in lovely coat and condition. A real pleasure to award him Best In Show

Reserve Best In Show:

30 Ingram’s Dainmajik The Wizard (AI). 5 and a half year old large upstanding fawn male. Strong through the head with a super expression. Firm in the neck and shoulders, well-off for bone and stands correct in front. Strong and firm through the body with just the right amount of spring of rib. Correct in top-line and under-line with a good tail-set and carriage. Stands on a good rear that is well-muscled and moves out with purpose producing a nice side-gait.

Best Opposite Sex In Show:

52 Pocock’s Int/Ned Ch Tamzdane Cake My Day BNLW19 EuDDC CH19. 3 year old harlequin bitch of good type and making an excellent shape and outline. Stands on a true front with the right amount of bone. Excellent neck and shoulders and a real quality head and expression. Firm through the body with nice length of leg to depth of body. Good top-line and correct tail-set and carriage. Stands on a nice parallel, well-muscled rear. Very neat and tidy on her down and back and produces an effortless side gait on the move. Turned out in lovely condition, and handled superbly.

Best Puppy In Show

21 Cubitt’s Annadanes Turkana. 9 month old blue bitch making a lovely shape and well balanced for her age. Stands true in front with nice bone and good feet. Good neck and shoulders, excellent feminine head-piece with neat ears and correct bite. Firm through the body, correct under-line and nice tail-set and carriage. Stands parallel and well-muscled through the rear. Very true on her down and back and produces a nice side-gait for her age. Turned out in super condition.

 

Reserve Best Puppy In Show

32 Eppwood Indiana (AI). 10 month old fawn bitch of good size and type and with nice bone. Pleasing in head with a lovely expression. Stands true in front with good neck and shoulders. Excellent top-line and under-line and stands on a good rear with correct tail-set and carriage. Moves out well when viewed from all angles. Turned out in super coat and condition.

Best Veteran In Show

31 Ingram’s Dainmajik The Sorceress ShCM. Fawn bitch, coming up 9 years of age, turned out in excellent coat and condition. Well off for size and substance with just the right amount of bone. Real quality head-piece with a great expression, nice neck and shoulders and stands on a true front and good feet. Excellent top-line and tail-set, strong and well-muscled through the rear. Really used herself on the move in the big ring, producing a super side-gait. Pleased to award her Best Veteran in Show.

Class 45: Special Veteran Dog (4 entries 3 abs)

1st: 56 Robinson’s Preveli Be Yourself. 6 year old fawn male with plenty of size and substance. Quality head with a nice expression. Stands on a good front with nice feet and correct in neck and shoulder. Good top-line and under-line and correct in tail-set and carriage. Moves out cleanly when viewed from all angles.

Class 46: Special Veteran Bitch (2 entries 0 abs)

1st: 31 Ingram’s Dainmajik The Sorceress ShCM. See Best Veteran In Show

2nd: 54 Price’s Ch Leamap Iron Maiden JW. 7 year old quality bitch making a super outline. Stands true in front with good neck and shoulders and excellent head-piece with the right expression. Firm in the top-line with a good tail-set and carriage. Well-muscled through the rear and turned out in lovely coat and condition. Moves true on her down and back and produces a lovely side-gait.

Class 47: Special Brace (2 entries 0 abs)

1st 45 Page & Concannon. 2 good examples of the breed, making a lovely shape on the stand, both in super coat and condition. Under lovely control on the down and back and producing a great side-gait together in this large ring.
